Legends Solar commissioned pixel artwork that demonstrated how visualization could make investors feel spiritually connected to their holding. On Legends, you wouldn’t own a fraction of an abstract financial security, but a real piece of machinery affecting your values and creating actual, measurable impact in the world. This would be expressed through diagrams and metrics - but gamified artwork could also serve the experience.

Legends explored how solar panels might be brought to live with interactive artwork. Collaborating with the pixel artist ‘JUBILEE’, Legends showed solar panels at different times of day, in different seasons, and under different weather conditions.

The principal was to provide investors with an experience as close to direct ownership of the machinery their shares represented as possible. Owning panels would be as intuitive and rewarding an experience as if you installed them on your own roof - and generative artwork was one avenue to achieve this.
